Making quality picture repeatable - a simple feature add

Video sources differ in quality in significant ways. DVDs from Hollywood studios can differ, as can imports (converted from, say, PAL). The Adjust Image controls in the Extended Controls panel are quite necessary to maximize the viewer's experience.
When watching similar source videos (ie, when watching another PAL->NTSC conversion, or a TV series that have -- from one episode to another -- the same qualities), a means to recall the exact setting is needed.
First choice is to add a feature to allow the user to save the settings for future recall. If this feature seems too much work, how about just displaying the numeric value to the right of each slider? Numeric values would allow the user to scribble down (or screen shot) the values for future use. Something like this:

This feature would make VLC a much more satisfying experience for all users.
Thanks for a great product!
