We would like to have all of our videos played at double size (200%) automatically. I understand there is an option to play Fullscreen automatically, but that isn't quite the same thing.

Preferences->All->Video

Change Zoom Video to 2.0

Thanks, I didn't see this when I originally looked because I didn't realize I had to scroll down (duh...) I didn't see it this time either, but since you said it was there I managed to take a second and third look and see the scroll bars.

Tried it but cannot change Zoom video, so it's stuck to 0.00

Every video has to be resized first before anything is visible at all.

Solutions ?

running version 0.9.9 freshly installed.

Close VLC and delete the preferences folder: %appdata%\VLC

It's really funny.

Deleted the %appdata%\VLC folder.

Starting a video now gives the correct size but no video. Only sound.

Changing Video Width and Video Height ór uncheck Disable Screensaver, shutting down and restarting VLC will give the 0 height-video again but with the resizing (manually see above) the video plays.

During all phases, it is not possible for me to change the Zoom Video setting
I belive that when settings are saved, this Zoom Video setting of 0 is saved so all video's are zoomed 0.
Should be able to change that.....but how ?

Update.

Found the setting. %appdata%\VLC\vlcrc
Opened it with texteditor, set
# float (Vergroot video)
zoom=1.000000

Opened a video and voilá, the size is okay !
But the video won't show ... just sound.
Changed something in the settings.....still unable to set video zoom in the menu....and yes...the video shows again ! But default size 0 off course.

Don't see the logic. Just know something is wrong here.
