custom audio equalizer setting lost after restarting VLC,WHY

Postby parag » 05 Mar 2009 01:53

after doing custom setting of audio equalizer and after playing any media one by one, settings remain the same but after closing VLC and then trying to open any file then it is seem that the custom settings of the audio equalizer has got lost and then before opening any file we have to again set the custom settings of the audio equalizer according to the viewer`s choice . But why this is happening now in VLC 0.9.8 TO VLC 1.0.0 as i have seen in 0.8.6 version once we have save the custom settings of audio equalizer it remains tha same as many as times we have close and restarted VLC 0.8.6 version but the custom settings of the audio equalizer remains the same and it doesnot get lost so that before opening any kind of media files we do not have to adjust again and again either we restart or close as many as times but the custom settings does not get lost in VLC 0.8.6 but now in VLC 0.9.8 to VLC 1.0.0 it is happening and it is creating problem to adjust again and again . Do something so that the custom settings of audio equalizer remains permanent and it does not get lost as many as as times we restart, close and open VLC but the custom settings of the audio equalizer does not get lost at any cost. Then we will be happy by your development by fixing this bug.

GUI changed between 0.8.x -> 0.9.x transition. That is why now certain GUI stuff doesn't work like they used to. You can insert the values to Tools -> Preferences... but finding proper values is trial and error.
