It would be nice if you could add another aspect ratio feature to the ones you already have (1.85 :1). for movies which aren't 2.35 or 16/9 but in between.

You can already do it.

mhm all I see in version 0.9.6 and 0.9.8a in Video --> Aspect Ratio --> is
1:1 4:3 16:9 16:10 2.21:1 and 5:4

I just tested it by changing the AR of an avi file via MPEG-4 Modifier to 1.85:1 Display AR, playing it in vlc and applying the relevant AR settings (16:9, 2.21:1) --> the image always gets streched.

so, no you can't. I never understood the 2.21:1 option btw. it isn't 2.35:1 or 1.85:1 so it alwasy streches the image vertically.
instead of or in addition to 2.21:1 you could add 2.35:1 and 1.85:1

You can add your own options manually, and then use those.

ah, thx a lot, got it, Custom Aspect Ratios List
but finding the right input was quite tricky, for example 2.35:1 doesn't work (displayed wrong) but 235:100 does.
same goes for 1.85:1 (185:100) --> 235:100,185:100
as all these AR are already in the crop menu by default it still would be nice if they were in the AR menu too.
thx for the help :wink:

Anyone care to elaborate why is this? Doesn't make sense to me. Just added 235:100 for 2.35:1 movie and it works at least. Thanks for giving the values 'truthy'. :geek:

That'd be nice. :roll:
