Settings of Video and Audio codec's based on Encapsulation

Unless I am doing something incorrectly, it would appear that not all Codec's are suitable for each encapsulation option. If that is the case, it would be great if after setting the 'Encapsulation' setting, Video and Audio Codec's that are not compatible or suitable for that encapsulation be made shaded out or inacessible. I think that might be helpful for people like me that are ignorant about what codec's go with which encapsulation.

Thank you.

It seems to me like there is a direct jump from "ignorant" to "know-all" where this is concerned. I admit my own ignorance in this topic. I am sure its very hard work for the developers, who probably created VLC as a labor of love. It would be good to learn more about this topic. I think the information is scarce, since this is brand new technology. I imagine the experts don't even know the answers.

good luck!
