Adding Codec to Video Lan

Hello,
I'm using a proprietary Video Codec which is not supported by VideoLAN.
I have the whole set of filters (.dll and .ax files) to add this Codec to Windows Media Player. Is there any way to do the same with VideoLAN?
Example, is there any way to convert the .ax files into VideoLAN filters?

Thanks
Francesco

No. VLC uses its own sets of codecs.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Is there any way to apply for a new codec to be added into VideoLAN set of codecs?
I can provide the whole set of .dlls and instructions on how to use them.

Thanks
BR

No, you cannot, VLC cannot add external codecs except some particular DMO codecs

But if you have skills, you can write plugin(s) that abuses external .dll files in decoding.
