Display subtitles below video

Nearly all video files I watch have two big black bars (top and bottom), yet the subtitles are forced to conceal part of the actual video.
It would be great if the subtitles were displayed below the video instead. That way I can see everything happening in the video while placing the subtitles in a practical empty black space.

Just too late you know that, i'm not against this feature, but more you place the subtitles out of the video area, more you miss the movie ;)

But how can one enjoy stunning visuals when they are concealed by blocky letters? :evil:
It should at least be an option to have the subtitles appear below the video.
