DVD Silent Mode if playing a DVD

VLC should support something like a silent mode, where the DVD Drive don't spin at maximum speed if a DVD movie is played.

You can use Nero DriveSpeed for that. (I assume your request is Windows only)

yes it is for windows.

Is it possible to support this feature without installing nero drivespeed. I want to install as less programs as possible on the pc
