Playback control on Fullscreen mode

Can we have playback control in fullscreen mode?

We do have some playback control in fullscreen mode, but we don't have the "playback bar" there. I find the bar useful since I can quickly browse the whole media file with scroll. Realplayer, Windows Media Player have a bar like this. VLC player's control interface in non-fullscreen mode is good, too. I think vlc player can display a "control panel" like that at the bottom by default. It can auto-hide the "control panel" while no mouse movement is detected for say 5 seconds.

I am testing it in 0.90 test 3.

I like this new feature and have pushed for it for quite some time now. I love that its draggable too.

My comments for your response:

1. Will the small 'flickering' bug of the controler be resolved in one of the upcomming nighties in time for the final.

2. It is not disapearing properly when I move the cursor of it but just flickering for a few moments and then it disapears properly

3. May I suggest adding 'animation' in the display of the fullscreen controller, for instance when apearing at the bottam of the screen a short 'jump up' effect similar to a javascript pop up on a website - this is just an idea

im kind getting this too it not flickering like it used to but it now disapering like it shold it dose go away when you dont move your mouse but 2 sec later it come back up then it starts poping going away and coming back really gquick

This happens to me too. The full screen controls come back up and then go away again about every 20 to 30 seconds when the mouse is not moved. It does not always happen. It is very annoying because it covers some of the video.

I too am seeing a similar behavior. When in full screen mode, the playback controls will appear for about two seconds, then disappear, then reappear less than a second later. Two seconds of controls, half a second of no controls, two seconds of controls, half a second of no controls, on and on and on. I've tried positioning my mouse various places on the screen, clicking and right clicking here and there to get the right behavior with no luck. The only way to make watching in full screen bearable is to put the mouse right over the controls (to keep them visible rather than having them appear and disappear).

PS - I forgot to add that this isn't a problem on any of the other machines on which I use VLC. Just this one, which is connected directly to an InFocus HDTV with a goofy screen resolution of 1176 x 664. Perhaps that has something to do with it.
