Logitech G15 Media Key Support

I would like support (as do many other G15 owners, I'm sure) for the media keys on the Logitech G15 keyboard. Any support at all would be nice but NOT in the form of a G15 plugin, native support with VLC is preferable.

Unfortunately many players are ignoring the G15 (iTunes only has limited, buggy support, only working when iTunes is in focus (btw, if anyone else is annoyed by this, I have a DLL that fixes it, PM me, I'll email it to you)) so it would be great if VLC could have support, whether it is in focus or not.

I'm not sure but I think that there's better support for this in the nightly builds. Since then support for "Media Keys" was added.

You can now bind your Media Keys to VLC, via Tools -> Preferences... and Hotkeys.

I went to the hotkey settings and changed the play, next, etc to the media keys and hit save. it shows that its is mapped correctly and for the most part works, however the play/pause only works as play. and yes i did double check to make sure it was mapped right.

the buttons also only work if vlc is the active window. is there a way to make it work when its in the background?

1.0.0 should support global hotkeys under Win32 at least.
