Currently, Tivo just added TTG(TivoToGo) to the Series3 units, allowing you to transfer HD content to your computer. Problem is, these shows take a LOT of time to transfer(around 1hr for a 40min show). VLC is great in that it plays these files as they are partially downloading. It would be even better if VLC was able to buffer the file as it was downloading(that is, after the end of the downloaded portion is played back, continue looking for additional data that was downloading during playback time). Is this feature at all possible?

i think you need to switch on the catche - on network stream when you watch your video. it will be saved where you point.
