Automatically pause iTunes/[other media player] on playback

Hi,

I currently use iTunes for MP3s, and VLC for video (OSX). It would be great if VLC could automatically pause iTunes when I start a video in VLC.

what are iTunes possibilities for remote control ? (do you have any doc?)

Preferences: Interface: Main Interfaces -- enable Mac OSX Interface
Preferences: Interface: Main Interface: macosx: Control external music players -- select "pause iTunes" or other options as desired.
