1) support for more encapsulation formats mkv, and avi would be nice
2) when you rip a cd you could put it to mp3 directly instead of having it encapsulated
3) AAC support for ripping a cd as well
4) [this is just an idea] maby being able to rip dvds in dual audio and more subtitles [this idea dosnt really need to be added cuz there are manny dvd ripping programs anyhow]
5) better support for subtitles
6) more formats to save streams (like ripping a file like maby being able to save them in divx 5 or 6 and xvid)
7) more skin support like winamp and stuff (maby you guys cant cross platform that)
8) a better playlist (like im able to change anything and make new directories ect)
9) More visualizers (maby even the ability to use wmp visualizers )
again this is just suggestions the rest of vlc is really good one of the best players ive ever used period. but kmp also looks promising im just hoping for great things in vlc?

1) mkv is under work. avi is broken but exists
2) have you tried raw ?
3) that is already possible
4) ... also doable but tricky, right...
5) under work for USF, html and ASS subtitles
6) not sure about this idea, since those proprietary formats are bad and just modified the standards, mp4v is great and should be enough
7) We need skins designers to do this... We already support Winamp 2 skins
8) under work
9) We need coders for this one, AVS support would be great, indeed.

I would love avs support in vlc

Reason, why I never use winamp :
I made some registery changes (they screw winamp up very bad) so when winamp opens, it goes to fullscreen then it freezes the whole machine
