VLC in Vista sidebar

I'm using VLC for watching IPTV from my provider on comp. I found very useful when I hover mouse over taskbar in Vista and see preview of content currently running in VLC. Can someone do something similar for sidebar? I would, but I have only basic knowledge of VB and VBA, I have no idea how to write XML and CSS code.
