my question:: Is there a change for a httpQ plugin like the one for w*mp(or the now playing plugin) how is able to post playlist infos on php scripts etc./-what file is currently played and whats next in the list etc? it would be awesome for vlc broadcasters (non shout/ice cast streams)

You just want to host information about the current track via HTTP?

Have you give the HTTP interface a try?

Hi dionoea
Thank you very much for your reply... :D
Your idea with the http userinterface/Status.XML could be solution... :D but there is one big problem on VideoFiles theres no info-tag or filename information... :cry:
i only get infos like:

Code: Select all

<category name="Stream 0"> <info name="Codec">DIV3</info> <info name="Sprache"/> <info name="Typ">Video</info> <info name="Auflösung">592x272</info> <info name="Framerate">25.000000</info> </category> − <category name="Stream 1"> <info name="Codec">mpga</info> <info name="Sprache"/> <info name="Typ">Audio</info> <info name="Kanäle">2</info> <info name="Abtastrate">48000 Hz</info> <info name="Bitrate">128 kb/s</info> </category>
----------------------------
I tried to edit the advanced fileinfos in windows filled the fields:Titel , Autor , Categorie... Or used some IDTag rename tools but i get still no infos on video files... At least i would need the filename of the video that is played. :cry: Can this feature be added that a filename or the tag infos on Videofiles are displayed in the info.xml?

greetings
ryan

Ah right, maybe it's in playlist.xml, you'll need to find the item with option current="current" set. You could also write your own XML file using the VLC-http-weird-script-language code. (Check the .xml files on your hard drive to see what that looks like, and Documentation:Play_HowTo/Building_Pages_for_the_HTTP_Interface.)

Hi
Thx again :D
hm... ok..but another problem is it displays on videofiles only urls instead of their names :?
::My PlaylistXML::

Code: Select all

<leaf id="22" current="current" uri="G:\VIDEOS\CINEMA\MyVideoFile.mpg" name="G:\VIDEOS\CINEMA\MyVideoFile.mpg" ro="rw" duration="1590995148"/>
i cant display a file location on my TV channel webpage :cry: at least a only the filename would be ok... The best thing: if vlc would displays tag infos on videofiles. i dont understand why vlc dont display infos on videofiles =( This becomes too hard for me and i dont know how to handle all this probs... i hope someone could make a plugin like that one +LINK+
It would be awesome for streamers or people how want to show the world what they are playing in vlc now.Can be used for signatures on forums , on webpages , and other stuff... please think about it ,im sure many people want to use it :roll:
greetings :)
