The Mute Icon is missing

I still missing the Mute Icon in the current 0.9.0.
In the last 0.8.6d there were a red X icon in the interface when i pressed Mute.
It would be a big help to see if VLC is really on Mute or on lower Volume.
Is that possible?

Just like the pause button the icon hasn't fully been implemented, however, the functionality is still there. Just click on the speaker icon and it'll mute, or turn down the volume. you could also press "M" on your keyboard.

Ok I know that the Mute function works in VLC. But i asked for a graphical X in the interface that shows it if you mute VLC.
Its just easier to handle if you use several players and wanna know which player is playing now.
The 0.8.6d display that but i can also live without this funktion. It would be nice but not so important...

hi j-b,
regarding the mute icon, is the mute function also apply to activeX.
since toggleMute in ActiveX is difficult to use.
when loading a video and start toggleMute function, toggleMute won't work until the video is completed loaded.
