shrinked fullscreen (a.k.a. pan-scan?)

hello and thanks for the great work on vlc player, it's awesome!

still, i'm missing the an important feature: when i'm playing a (dvd or whatever) movie in fullscreen, i'd like to shrink it so it fits on the display of my D.I.Y. beamer (overhead projector + TFT film). other players can do it too, and in window mode you can shrink/enlarge the image with the window, so i think the implementation shouldn't be a great problem... i and a lot of beamer users would be very grateful. i don't wanna have to switch to some crappy, feature-poor share-ware other player.

i don't know if the term pan-scan does mean the same. i don't need to zoom to more than window size. (what for?)

keep up the brilliant work. and thank you very much.

I would like to have the opposite feature (in full screen mode), to enlarge the video a bit because sometimes very wide videos have a too small height.
Thanks and good work :)

just right click and change your aspect ratio. I have 1600 x 1050 so I set my aspect ratio to 160:105 for full screen coverage.
