Zoom Hotkeys

The subject line says it all. The configurable hotkeys are a great feature. It even has hotkey for controls that most other players don't have. I understand that v0.9.0 will have checks on conflicting hotkeys. However, will 0.9.0 have configurable hotkeys for the different zoom/view-size?

Well those hotkeys loop through the zoom sizes. I think that the original poster wanted something like a specific hotkey for each zoom mode.

Well, I don't think it is a good idea, since everytime we add something, we will need to add one.

Well, either approach would work for me--it would be better than having to open two submenus over the video while it is still playing, which takes time.
Another benefit of looping over specific hot-keys would be less confusion. The other media player I've used that did have specific hot-keys per zoom mode had ctrl-1 for normal, ctrl-2 for half, and ctrl-3 for double. While it can be appreciated why the hot-keys were assigned as such, it is also human nature to put or seek things in original order: #1 for smallest up to whatever the largest is.

I find it strange that hotkeys for the zoom levels are available on the Mac version (and maybe other non-windows versions) but not the Windows version. I was hoping I could map my own hotkey for this by doing something like...
vlc.exe --key-zoom-half="Ctrl-2"
... but there does not seem to be any function that allow mapping to this feature.

They're available in all the versions (I'm not sure that they're in 0.8.6 though ... and i can't test since i don't have it installed on my computer)

I am also wondering - like everyone else on this thread - why the Macintosh VLC has shortcut keys for zooming the video to half size, normal and double size - just like Windows Media Player has with alt-1, 2, 3 or ctrl-1, 2, 3, but the Windows version of VLC does not and apparently has no way of defining such shortcut keys?
Also - this reply from j-b does not make sense... why would you "need to add one" everytime you "add something"? All that we are looking for is THREE shortcuts for those standard zoom factors that most people have grown used to by using WMP:
