I have yet another idea for the “clone” hotkey. Even though I haven’t received any other responses to this, I figure that it’s still worth considering, so hear me out.
When the user wants to watch a video on two monitors at once then he/she can press the hotkey and it will do exactly what I described above, the only problem that I can think of is the “Overlay video output”.
So is it possible to change this during playback? For instance: Pressing “C” to clone video will also automatically disable “Overlay video output” (for video cards that do not support it on multiple monitors). When the user wants to watch a video on either their computer or TV (not both at the same time), then closing one video window (leaving only one still running) will turn the overlays back on for the remaining video window.
I don’t know if it is possible for VLC to do all of this yet, and if you guys think that I’m pushing for a feature that probably won’t be added, please tell me. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
