Full Screen with multiple monitors

Postby rooley » 05 Jan 2007 03:28

I have two monitors and am running a Mac with Mac OS X 10.4. When I enable Full Screen when the movie window is in the secondary monitor, the movie goes to the primary monitor and plays it full screen. If VLC could emulate Apple's DVD Player.app, it would make the movie full screen on whichever monitor the window was in when Full Screen was enabled. Also, it has an option to dim the unused monitor when the other one is in Full Screen mode. Blackening it is useful for a full movie atmosphere, but not dimming it is useful for when I want to use the internet (or type a document, et cetera) while watching a movie full screen. Please let me know what you think and thanks for the help.

I just figured I'd bump this old request. I'm in Mac OS X 10.4.9 and VLC 0.8.6a and there is still no way to get a video file to play full-screen in a non-primary monitor. I'd love to have my videos play on my secondary monitor, which is five inches larger.
