Subtitle plugin working with opensubtitles.org

Hello,

This post is about auto-downloading/uploading subtitles directly from VLC.
First, I should describe my website - http://www.opensubtitles.org

I coded it as open content, every page is possible to have as XML, it is designed for working with other application (XMLRPC interface), it already has around 250.000 subtitles.

There is already first opensource program SubDownloader coded in python which uses this site for downloading and uploading subtitles. I think there should be very very nice, if users are able to download/upload subtitles directly from player. If this will be possible in VLC player, I think its popularity will raise.

It works on special fast hash (same as in MPC - first 64kb, last 64kb + filesize / crc64), API of website is available and I should improve it for your needs if you want.

What do you think about this feature ?

Great Idea

I love the idea. Sometimes i'm tired of not finding the good subtitle for my AVI and spend a lot of time searching in subtitles sites.

This feature would make the subtitle search the easier way.
