A-B Loop

I don't know if anyone has requested this yet, but it would be great if VLC had the ability to loop a portion of the video being played similar to the A-B function on many DVD players.

I agree! It'd be great to have an A-B loop function, which is necessary for watching music instructional videos. You need that to repeatedly watch (and hear) how the instrumentalist performs a particular phrase.
Any idea of implementing this A-B loop function? Thanks!

This has been posted on a couple of other threads too (
A to B Repeat Feature) but nothing has been mentioned recently about adding this feature. I would find it useful for music more so then movies. Just my opinion.

Thanks. Yes, you are right. A-B loop is useful to repeatedly watch, say the fingering of the guitarist executed on the fingerboard.
