VLC has solved all of my multimedia issues, but one thing that I'd like to see implemented that isn't as common is track queuing. e.g. I have a large playlist in shuffle mode, but I would like to listen to song 2, then 49, then 4, and then the order doesn't matter. I believe The Core Media Player implemented this by allowing you to press 'q' upon selecting a track that you would like to enqueue. the track would then have its position next to it:
playlist:
Also, is there any way to speed up/ improve preparsing playlists, as in letting the user choose what tag to parse rather than all of them? That would be nice too. These do not seem to be an especially difficult assignment to me, but I can understand your having different priorities.song 1
[1]song 2 (pressed q with this selected first)
song 3
[3]song 4 (pressed q with this selected third)
...
[2]song 49 (pressed q with this selected second)
song 50
I've converted my family to VLC and have gotten a few friends to see the light at the end of the cone. Keep up the good work!
Thanks a bunch,
