Defaulting audio streams options when playing file

Hello,

I would like to give my opinion on a feature that I see it in Window Media Classic that I didn't see in VLC. I think it's a very useful feature. It's the feature/option to set the default audio stream when it's equal to English.

Ex. I have a vob file with 3 audio streams. Audio stream 1 = French, Audio stream 2 = Spanish, Audio stream 3 = English. With window media classic there's an option that I set so that the default audio stream that when I play a file would equal to English. So in this case would be Audio Stream 3. OR maybe have an option so that I can set the default audio stream to the second audio stream on the vob or avi file....and have it play audio stream 2 as my default forever until I change it....

That's my opinion...
Thanks

Try to change audio track in the 'input/Codecs' selection in VLC Preferences.
From VLC screen, Settings ->Preferences..
From Preferences screen, Click input/Codecs . Make sure check 'advances options' chk box. Change Audio track to 1 or 2... save it. Close VLC & restart VLC

Thank you, vlcrcuser for your tip. If you didn't show me I would never knows that VLC has such an option.

There's another little option that I was thinking and VLC doesn't have it. VLC has the Interface Hotkeys settings. In there has all the common shortcut keys...but there's one that vlc doesn't have. And I think it would be very useful to hardcore user. I am a hardcore VLC user. I use it to play my music/movies collections. But I found it very inconvenient to switch between Left and Right audio channel. I am looking for a short cut key or a GUI interface.."both is best" to switch audio from Left, Right, Stereo and Reserve Stereo Channels. What I really like to setup is a shortcut KEY for the Left Channel, a shortcut key for the Right Channel so that I can switch between channels with a key instead of using the mouse ...

Thank you and have a great day...
