VideoLAN frontend?

Hey, would it be possible for you, or any programmer to make some sort of frontend to VideoLAN? Like, this program? http://www.albumplayer.com

F.ex it would display dvd covers of the movies, which would be of course customizable and with the path to the film.

Then, we could browse all the movies we'd have on the computer, with info, and it could be sorted after genres, actors, year and so on.

An easily double click on the cover, would start the movie.

As for shows it could display the season cover, then all the episodes could appear in a list to be chosen on the right.

I don't know about you, but this sort of thing I've got in mind for years.

If anyone are aware of a program that does this, then it would be nice if you could provide a name for it.

Well, I've got Windows, so it won't work, and that one seems to only be playing music as well.

You could do that with VLC browser plugin. Create webpage with pictures of your movie. With help of AJAX and PHP/Perl/J2EE or similar.
