Automatic deinterlace + control subwindow when in fullscreen

My wishlist for playing video files in VLC:
- o if the video file is interlaced, automagically apply the last Video/Deinterlace setting;
o when in fullscreen mode:- - provide a small floating window with elementary back/forward navigation;
- when that window is active, clicking anywhere *outside* it makes it disappear;
- when inactive, clicking anywhere causes it to reappear
(this is how the ComproDTV prog does it - works well!)
