I have been using and loving VLC for (mostly legal) transcription for decades. I use the custom bookmark feature a lot to mark spots for confirmed speaker identification, so I can go back and compare confirmed speaker voices to the current speaker when I'm unsure of who's speaking. If this feature were available as a global hotkey option, it would be so much quicker to get to!

Any existing (non-global) hotkey can be made global. Just bind the action to whatever key in the preferences.

Hi, Remi - I know to do that, but as far as I understand, we can only do it with options listed in the hotkey settings, correct? Sadly, custom bookmarks is not listed, unless my eyes are playing tricks on me. -Karen
