Record video with multiple audio tracks?

Postby Hassbrow » 06 Mar 2024 12:39

Hi all,

Is there any way to export all audio tracks with recordings made in VLC?

This is the scenario: I have some large video files with multiple audio tracks (1- source + mic, 2- mic only, 3- source only). I'd like to record short clips with all the audio tracks in place so I have more flexibility in editing.
At present, I'm able to produce short recordings with only one audio track; whichever is selected during playback. I'm able to manually create additional audio tracks by using bookmarks to keep everything in sync.

Is there any way to set VLC to export all audio tracks with a recording?

Cheers,
Hass

The 'sout-all' flag retains all tracks through toward the output (instead of applying normal selection).

Thanks for the reply Rémi,

could you be a little more specific. I'm using the GUI and haven't used command line stuff before. Where should I add the flag?

Thanks in advance.
