The multi-band EQ in VLC is OK and similar to what many players offer, but, being a) an old audio guy and b) also a retired recording engineer (bad combo!) I find I miss the old Baxandall EQ (https://producerhive.com/ask-the-hive/w ... andall-eq/) for when I want a bit of overall treble or bass boost or cut. A deceptively simple EQ that is also very musical. Either that or a simple parametric with a wide "Q" (bandwidth) and adjustable frequency.

Oh, and of course gapless playback.... promised for ages but still not available
