.lrc (lyrics) file support

I found a few duplicate here, but it seems there has been no anser yet.

Can I add .lrc file while playing an audio file as like .srt file for video?
I confirmed .cdg file works flawlessly in just the same way as adding .srt file.

Minilyrics plugin looks it is not being developed actively, especially for MacOS.

I think we can use the same interface with .lrc file as well in VLC natively.
Any idea?
