VLC Configuration for Remote conrol
Posted: 03 Jan 2022 14:32
Hello,
I have an ethernet installation with 1 PC Client, 1 PC Servor and 1 projector. The PC Servor is connected in HDMI on the projector.
The PC client sends commands to the projector (Power ON, Source, etc) via TCP and sends commands to the PC servor via UDP to launch video (via its video name) and as VLC (installed on the PC servor) is the program by default, it opens itself in full screen and plays the video.
Everything woks very well.
But now, from my PC Client, I would like to have some additional basic controls on VLC (located on the PC servor) while it's playing videos, as Pause, Play, Volume +, Volume -
I have no problem for the design and sending strings via UDP or TCP mode.
And now I am lost ; I have tried several preferences in VLC but without any success.
So far I read on the help and on this forum, RC seems to be the right way. But I have no success with (using UDP or TCP mode).
So, I need your help for configuring the preferences in VLC in the right way.
Thanks
