settings to increase size of Recently Played list

I want option to increase this list (RecentsMRL)
When this need:
1. Play some (big) file. But not to the end. Exit, that saves position.
2. Play some other (little) files
3. Open 1st file to continue watch. Found that position is no longer saved

I second this. Does VLC even remember where you were in a file more than like... 2 files ago?
