VLC is not going to bypass any restrictions that apply in your country.

no it doesn't work with Normal Unblocked videos either

The link from Bingus works fine here - Debian VLC 3.0.12 with the VLC YoutubeDL plugin. Also works out of the box in VLC 4.0.
