playlist view items

I know your working on the playlist in 0.8.5 so i dont know if your planning on doing this already.
Can you add a directory view (expandable folders) to the 'view items' on the playlist?
this is really in response to a thread i started ages ago, i know partial playlist tree is supported but its still not fully there, i posted some pictures in the old thread:
