Select files in OS's File Explorer From VLC

We already have an option when we right-click a file in VLC to "Show Containing Directory...", my suggestion is to use that option and rename it to something like "Show in Containing Directory..." or "Select in Folder..." and it should take all the files selected in VLC's playlist manager and select them in the Operating System's file manager!
This would be awesome to manage playlists for example, to allow us to copy only those songs from the folder or move them elsewhere.
As of now I have to have a separate folder with musics that I know I'll have to copy later as opposed to having a playlist pointing to those musics in my main "Musics Folder"
I have absolutely no clue as to how hard this would be to implement, but I'm guessing it would be a hassle to maintain from OS to OS, maybe someone has a better idea as to how to implement this capability?
I hope it's not to much to ask.
