Watch 3D 180 VR video on 3D TV (SBS, Top-Down) and in 2D

I have tested many players including the new VLC 4.0 beta and no player solves the use case described in the following.

I have 3D 180 VR Videos captured with the Insta360 Evo camera and I want to watch them on a 3D TV (SBS or Top-Down) and also as mono 2D flat. Please note that 3D 360 and 3D 180 are different, because when the source footage was captured in 180°, then stretching it 360° around the user produces the wrong results. It would be nice if VLC supports VR 180 and 360 in 2D and 3D. The most general solution would be if the user can configure what the field of view for the camera was to achieve the correct projections. Furthermore, adjustment of vertical and horizontal parallax for the output would be very important.

Currently there are some interesting consumer 3D cameras and people still have their 3D TV (for which they had not content). Please support this use case by providing more configuration and projection options.
