Cusom or additional zoom levels

As a user of HiDPI display I find myself using 1,5:1 or 1,25:1 zoom level for FullHD (1080p) videos while not playing full screen. Today I have to use custom Windows program shortcut to do this (shortcut target property is set to "C:\Program Files\VLC\vlc.exe" --zoom="1.25") and start app using Terminal in macOS. Unfortunately, you cannot toggle zoom level between custom setting (i.e. 1,25:1) and 1:1 once video is opened using this shortcut to start VLC. I really wish there was a way to add more zoom levels manually or there was more available by default (like 0,75:1, 1,25:1, 1,5:1, 2,25:1, 2,5:1) so you could switch on the go.
