It would be nice to be able to resize the transport control when VLC is in full screen mode.

This way the "Timeline" can be made wider. This will make it easier to scroll through the time-position as the slider's time has a higher resolution.

YES! There are few posts over the years on that subject, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer on that.

Is it implemented? If so, how to enable it?

There is already the "Dock fullscreen controller" button implemented in VLC.
