DD/DTS Bitstream/Passthrough with Chromecast

Hi guys,

it would be great if .mkv files with DD/DTS audio content could be chromecasted.
I'm using a small HDMI/Audio splitter to forward the audio to my sound system (where it will be decoded), video will hit the TV.
If I can finally get rid of the long HDMI cable running through my living room that would be awesome!

Thanks!

Does your TV have a digital audio out? If so you should be able to use that to connect to your sound system, assuming it has a digital input. My AV received is over 10 years old, probably closer to 15, it has HDMI input and output, as well as optical and coaxial digital audio inputs.
