oke i know the Subject are very cryptic but i try my best to explain.
I have often the Problem that when i watch a movie or hear music on my laptop/ pc/ smartphone/... and i turn it off of come home or leave the house i have to restart the movie ....
And i convert all Movies for the Device i have. On a Tablet i dont need 5.1, 7.1, other Language than German, Subtitles,... so ignored.

The Idea is to add an Hash hidden in the File (and/ or in the Name) to make a catalogue of all Files.

In the Practise it could work like Youtube. https://youtu.be/3avE4Zsp14g?t=1m0s the add just a Timestamp "?t=1m0s" at the end.
That mean everyone in the World who click on the Video will hear it from +1m.
The same can make the VLC. It not necessary to stream the Video or Music over Wifi when the Video/ Music is local Available.

It make no sense to stream a low resulution video over wifi when a Full HD Video is available....


So people pls make my dream come true....
