DVB Support ?

We currently use VLC watching media on Windows and on Windows Mobile PDAs. The big use is also to stream video and audio from the DreamBox STB to PCs and Laptops. But in order to watch another channel using a DVB-T or DVB-S device connected to a PC or Laptop we need to use a seperate appliaction like ProgDVB or DNTV Live!

Is is possible to add DVB-T and DVB-S support to VLC and thus be able to stream and tune and view other media all in the same appliaction as VLC is great at playing MPEG2 and the extra features are just being and to scan and tune channels ?
