Keep window size when toggling playlist

Using the "Docked Playlist" option, I find it incredibly frustrating that VLC player seems to remember different window sizes independent from each other; one for the media playback, one for the playlist. So whenever I click the "Toggle Playlist" button in the toolbar at the bottom of the VLC window to see the playlist (for example to see what song/video comes next), the window size changes and with it the button I just clicked. So I need to move my mouse to be able to click it again.

Of course I can (in a process that requires several iterations) match the window sizes of media window and playlist window, but all it takes is one video to change the window size (I prefer the window size to adapt to the video size) and the problem is back. I find this frustrating especially because to me it seems so unnecessary.

Please give the option to have just ONE adaptable window size so that buttons stay where they are after clicking them.

I agree a lot with your frustrating issue, but VLC developer team doesn't seem to care a lot about the video size set up. it's the hardest thing to be done in VLC while evry other player has simple easy command to fix the Windows size and to mantein them
