select items from playlist using it's number in playlist.

I suggest, that it can by wery nice to have ability to select item from playlist by entering the number like in TV remote.

1 for first item in play list
2 for second
and so on.

and lets say after hiting . (dot)
have to enter
01 for first channel
02 for second
...
10 and ...

this future will by wery useful for remote controls

you can define 10 playlist hotkeys. See the prefs to know the appropriate key bindings to set and load a specific playlist entry.

Yes, but every time after VLC restart we nead to redefine this keys.
With stable playlist using such manier to select playlist items / channels is realy beter.

those settings can be saved. (either edit the vlcrc file or use a nightly build ... which saves it automatically http://nightlies.videolan.org )
