Problem in playing blu ray video in VLC

I'm facing some problem in VLC player. When I'm playing Blu ray (more than 10GB) video file. There is a problem in forwarding.I'm using the latest version of VLC. When I'm trying to forward the file its return to the previous state.can i get some solution...?

Is it a BD rip or a MKV?

Its BD rip & mKV file format.
