feature request: skip bad sectors in badly scratch dvd's

Hello.
I've noticed that when I play a scratched DVD with VLC, it tends to...basically quit playing once it hits the scratched segment.
Feature request: when it encounters a read error, "seek" past the current spot by 20 seconds to try and avoid it.
This "may" require the enhanced dvd seeking method gnosygnu was proposing on libdvdnav, but it might be simpler than that.
Anything in this regard would be great. I "might" get around to implementing something like it in mplayer, eventually (which could serve as a template for vlc), we'll see.
Thank you.

Ok offering a $250 bounty for this (basically, it should skip forward when it encounters bad sectors, until it gets to a good one).

You'd better code it yourself :)
