Hi!
I recently installed VLC in Linux Ubuntu 12.10 and Windows 7 Pro and it liked me so much. But it has a little fail that should have been fixed a some time ago for both OS, regarding playlist management for songs and video files.
The playlist window or the main window player or both, must display overall playing time and elapsed time regarding the songs or video files enqueued in the playlist that are playing.
This is a necessary function that should not be skipped, because the using of playlists demand management of the time that will take play a certain amount of songs or/ and videos files.

Playlist total duration has been already implemented in VLC2.1
