Podcast improvements

I'm using VLC for podcasts which is good that it supports it, but it's a bit lacking.

If I pause for a long period, the stream cuts off. This means when I resume, wherever it's buffered to plays and then it just stops.

Also please add a column for "Publication date" or similar so it can easily be sorted by date.

Thanks!

Searched before posting and found this thread. I agree with both points, especially the date column. It'd be great to know when each podcast was released.

The player's Podcasting feature works nice, but probably needs for further improvement.
First-of-all: to make VLC a real podcast player, we need for podcasts downloading feature. As usual, all podcast programs/players download the full playing file (mostly - mp3) _before_ playing it (or start downloading at playing start, completing it faster than playing it).

1) So, may we add to Properties->Podcasts the following three options:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Auto-read new podcasts* at Saved Podcast Directory List opening and...
1. Don't download - play online streams.*
2. Download podcast during playback. Download to directory: ___________________ (choose directory for podcast files)
3. Auto-download new podcasts at Saved Podcast List opening. Download to directory: ___________________ (choose directory for podcast files)

Delete old files after _____________ (write or choose 3-7-30-120-365) days.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2) Another feature - any possibility to rename podcasts at the Podcast Directory List, as well as to correct/change its address.

3) May we have columns "Publication date" or similar at podcasts' pages to make it easily be sorted by date, as well as "Podcast file address:"? showing exactly the played file name/webaddress.
