remember place in playlist

ok...I've been using vlc media player since the 0.9.8 build and one feature I have only ever seen in winamp that I'd like to see in vlc media player, is the program being able to remember where I left off in a given music playlist, whatever the last played playlist was.
say I have 22 tracks in a playlist, I get through 8 before, for whatever reason needing to shut down, I wanna be able to come back later, open vlc.. and have a 'resume from last accessed playlist' or something similar in the open dialog, or the playlist dialog, or somewhere readily apparent really.
