Maybe not the easiest or fastest frame to calculate, but MPC and most other players that have single-frame advance also have single-frame reverse, or at least last-I-frame reverse. Any chance of adding a counterpart to "e" in VLC? Please?

So far, noone is working on it.

I just found out about your "next frame"-feature and registered here to ask for a "previous frame"-feature as well. I work in the effects/animation industry and can tell you that many, many people would like that feature. We are very often checking footage framewise. If it is not too much work, maybe you could consider it for your new-feature-list. Would be even greater if the current frame number could be displayed somewhere, as well.
