Record button already exists

Go to "View >> Advanced Controls" to show the extra buttons including the "Record" button.

If you're using Windows the default save locations for recorded audio and video files are "My Music" and "My Videos", respectively, and have a prefix of "vlc-record-".

I can't seem to find the option to show the record button in VLC 2.0.4 running on Mac OSX (10.7.5 64bit). Can someone help me out?

Mac interface differs from the standard VLC Qt interface. Ask in the Mac section of this forum.
